Our engineers are available for estimates between Monday and Friday 8 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. We will check our diary and book the next available slot that is convenient for you. We aim to respond to all requests through our contact form within 1 working day.

Measuring and Design

Once we arrive at your home we will measure your bathroom and start to talk with you about want you are looking for in your new bathroom and start to go through the different options you have.

Estimate

Estimates are completed on the same day and in some cases, they are completed with you so you will have the prices of your new bathroom suite and installation costs.

Deposits & Start Date

To confirm your installation date we would require all customers to pay a deposit of 40% of the total cost of the job this is to cover the costs of the new bathroom suite and some of the building materials required to start the work.

On the day that we start your installation a payment of 20% would be required, this is to cover the costs of other tradesmen such as electricians, plasters and tilers or to cover the material costs to complete those sections of the work and then finally the balance being paid on completion of the works.

Installation Of Your New Bathroom

LocalPlumber-UK carries out all parts of your bathroom installation from removing your old bathroom, preparing the walls and floor, 1st fix, tiling walls and installing floor covering, 2nd fix your new bathroom suite and finish by cleaning your bathroom and disposing of the rubbish by skip hire.

Stage One - Removing old Bathroom

This includes removing all your old bathroom which includes removing your old bathroom suite, wall coverings and wall tiles or wallpaper, and flooring.

Stage Two - Preparing the walls and floor

Once all the old tiles have been removed from the walls we carry out all repairs such as replastering the walls or replacing plasterboard so that the walls are in a good condition for tiles, wallboard or painting.

If you have floor tiles on the floor already the floor may need to be repaired or replaced depending on how the previous floor tiles were installed and then we install backer board onto the floor boards or chipboard flooring ready for floor tiles or plywood for other flooring types.

Stage Three - 1st Fix

At this point, we start to carry out any plumbing that is required including moving water pipework or waste pipes, once this has been finished we start to install a couple of items into your bathrooms such as a shower tray or bath ready for tiling or wall boards, at this point if you need electrics done for an electric shower or lighting, this will also be done at this stage.

Stage Four- Tiling Walls and Floor Covings

Now that the walls are prepared and the basic parts of the bathroom suite are installed the tiling can start, the tiling is done either by the same engineer or one of our tiles, this depends on the amount of wall and floor tiling that is required.

Stage Six - 2nd fix Bathroom

Once the tiler has finished, we will return and start to install all the other parts that make up your bathrooms such as the toilet, basin showers and enclosures, and bath panels this would also be the time that the electrical would return and finish the lighting or even connecting a bathroom TV

Stage Five - Finish & Clean

Once we have finished installing the last parts of your bathroom we then clean the room from top to bottom so you don't have to, then silicone seal for that finishing touch. At this point, we start to clear up all the rubbish and a skip arrives to dispose of all your old bathroom suite and any other rubbish.

Completion of The Work

On the completion of your new bathroom, we will go through any instructions including how some things work, before signing the bathroom over to you.

At this point we would give you a final bill which will be the last 20% of your balance plus any extra work you asked us to carry out for you such as installing accessories or anything you asked for while we were installing your new bathroom.

Our Guarantees

All Bathrooms that are designed, supplied and installed by LocalPlumber-UK comes with a 1-year guarantee this includes all labour and materials.

If you were supplying your own bathroom the guarantee would be for 1 year on labour only as we can not guarantee products we don't supply.
